Types of analysis: colour analysis, face shape and body shape

Did you know that understanding how the colour of your clothes and the styles you choose affect your figure can make a big difference to your personal image? Colour analysis and face shape and body shape analyses are essential tools for creating an authentic image that brings out the best in you.

In my image consulting in Barcelona, I offer a complete service that includes colour analysis and an assessment of the shape of your face and body, to help you choose the colours and garments that best suit your figure and style. Below I explain how each type of analysis works.

What is colour analysis?

Colour analysis is the study of the colours that harmonise with your skin tone, eyes and hair. Through a colour test, I can help you identify the shades that enhance your natural beauty. This analysis is based on the idea that each person has a colour palette that best reflects their personality and enhances their physical features.

The aim of the colour test is to determine your seasonal palette, grouped into four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. With this information, you can choose the right colours for your clothes, make-up and accessories, creating a harmonious, flattering style.

What is face shape analysis?

Face shape analysis is the study of the shape and proportions of your face. By analysing your facial shape, I can determine which haircuts, make-up styles and accessories suit you best. The aim is to highlight your best facial features, balance proportions and create a harmonious look.

This analysis takes into account aspects such as the shape of your jaw, the size of your forehead, the distance between your eyes and the shape of your nose. With this information, I can help you choose the hairstyles and make-up that best suit your face, enhancing your image naturally.

What you take away from face shape analysis

A practical guide with the cuts, lengths and fringes that balance your face, the glasses frames that flatter you, the type of earrings and necklines, and make-up guidelines (where to add light, how to shape your brows) to share with the professionals you trust.

What is body shape analysis?

Body shape analysis studies the shape and proportions of your figure to help you choose the garments that flatter you most. Every body is different and has its own proportions, so it’s important to understand your body type to bring out the best in you through clothing.

There are different body types, such as triangle, hourglass, apple or rectangle. With body shape analysis, I’ll help you choose clothes that highlight your strengths and balance the different areas of your body. Knowing your body shape will help you feel more comfortable and confident in your personal style.

Beyond the label

Body shape is a starting point, not a pigeonhole. What’s useful is understanding your proportions (shoulders, waist, hips, leg and torso length) to know which necklines, lengths, volumes and fabrics create the balance you’re looking for.

Benefits of these analyses

Which analysis should you choose?

They are all explained in my services. If you live in Madrid or Zaragoza, you can also do face shape analysis online: see face shape analysis in Madrid and face shape analysis in Zaragoza.

Frequently asked questions

Which analysis should I do first?

If in doubt, start with colour analysis: it has the biggest influence on how your face looks and on your everyday shopping. Then face or body shape, depending on what concerns you most (hair and glasses, or clothes and silhouettes).

Are visagismo and face shape analysis the same thing?

Yes, the terms are used interchangeably: it’s the study of the shape and proportions of the face to choose haircut, glasses, earrings, necklines and make-up guidelines.

Do you do the haircut or the make-up?

No. I’m an image consultant, not a hairdresser or make-up artist. I give you clear guidelines so your hairdresser and make-up artist can work from a personalised starting point.

Can the three analyses be combined?

Yes, there are two-analysis packages and a full armocromia, face and body package, which is the most complete way to understand your image.
